Q: Wendy, great seeing you again. Last time I believe was at the Viper Room. Now here backstage at Churchills. How have you been?

W: I've been awesome, thanks so much! I've been all over the country and  am excited about my new record hitting stores on Tuesday April 29th.

Q: What is it like being here at a venue like Churchill's?

W: I looooove Churchills. It's one of my favorite venues ever!  It's so punk rock, yet everyone is so sweet.  It really is the CBGBs of Miami and it totally makes sense that they are having the CBGBs Festival here tonight.

Q: First time playing Miami?

W: Third. I've played at Churchills and also at Tobacco Road. I wrote a song about on Miami on my new record. It's a true story about crazy partying here. People who live in Miami agree that the song pretty much sums it all up.

Q: How many dates have you done on this tour?

W: All the tours run together into one big tour in my head. When I go to the airport,  I look at all the domestic flights.  I see more cities that I HAVE been to, than cities I HAVEN'T been to. It's like that Johnny Cash song, "I''ve been everywhere."

Q: How have the crowds been treating you?

W:Great, I am so thankful. All the crowds have been wonderful across the United States. I have even gone to Iraq to play for the American Troops. They are really great audiences over there too.

Q: You went to Iraq to play for the American Troops?

W: Yes twice.

Q: Wow! What was that like.

W:Hot, it was literally 130 degrees and we were playing outside, in the afternoon with no shade.  It was so much fun rocking though supporting the troops. I loved every minute of it.

Q: I heard from Matt you jammed with Slash, how was he to play with?

W:My band opened up for Slash on his tour, but next time I would love to jam with Slash.... Yes Slash, if you're reading this hit me up! Let's do a song together! I love you! You ROCK!

Q: Any other guitar greats you have played with?

W: I have been lucky enough to share the stage with Slash, Kenny Olsen, Vinny Moore, and John Eaton. I have hung out with Lita Ford as well, but haven't gotten to jam with her yet. They are all great people who have welcomed me with open arms. 90 percent of me is thrilled to have shared the stage with such great players, the other 10 percent of me is expecting to just wake up and I'll be like, "Wow! That was a great dream!"

Q: Excited about your new album, tell us about that.

W:Thank you for asking. I am sooo excited. Kim Fowley (who put together The Runaways) produced it. It is a record about empowerment, especially female empowerment.

 Q: What is the title?

W:It's called "No One Can Stop Me."

Q: Kim Fowley is producing, so that is huge He is calling you the Twenty First Century Joan Jett. Pretty big compliment. What was it like working with Kim?

W:Thank you so much, I appreciate that. Kim has been one of the most positive influences on my career of anyone ever. I vow to name my first born child after him. Have you seen The Runaways Movie? He is just as wild and spontaneous as in the movie, but times 10 in real life. He is very smart. He really does write songs in a few minutes, I know because we have written songs together.

Q: Have you met Joan Jett?

W:I haven't, but I heard that she has checked out my music and likes it.  She is like the Wizard of Oz to me. More than any other celebrity, I would love for her to come out from behind the Iron Curtain so I could meet her! That would be sooo awesome!

Q: Did he bring anyone on to play on the album with you?

W:He brought me to Studio 5109 to record with Mike Wolf. Mike is a great engineer and he played bass on the record too.

Q: I hear Kim is really happy with the album. What did he say to you about it?

W:He was excited. He told me to go get it out there.

Q: Any chance of you getting together with Joan or Cherie to play or record?

W: We'll see, I would LOVE that!

Q: Your sound is pretty live, does that convey over to the album?

W: I do a lot of extended solos live, 15 minute frenzies... Running around, hanging from the rafters, throwing my clothes off, rolling on the floor, making sweet love with my guitar. You don't get to see that on the record. But the record is really fun to turn on and dance to.

Q: How did you get into rock?

W: I wanted to be just like my big brother Brian, he loves music and plays guitar. He tried to teach me how to play guitar when I was 5 years old but my fingers weren't big enough, I picked it back up at 10 years old and haven't put it down ever since.

Q: Who were your early influences as a singer / guitarist?

W: I like a lot of grunge and punk bands like Nirvana, The Offspring, The Misfits, The Cramps, and The Violent Femmes. I also love AFI and Mindless Self Indulgence.

Q: I hear you opening up for QUIET RIOT in Vegas, that is pretty cool, Frankie told me he was excited to see live.

W:Horay! I am so excited! I can't wait. And Frankie said that? I am a huge fan and that means so much to me, especially coming from him. I love you Frankie!

Q: What is next when the album hits?

W:Tuesday April 29th nationwide. I am so excited, It is my first record in stores!

Q: Great seeing you again and looking forward to see you hit the stage in a few. Anything you want to add to your fans?

W:Yes, for more information, visit www.thefabulousmisswendy.com and look for The Fabulous Miss Wendy on itunes. Great seeing you too Bobby, looking forward to hitting the stage here at Churchills in Miami.

Q: See you after the show.

W: Thank you so much for coming out tonight. See you after the show!
